Kinnear Likens EZ Air Park Airport Shuttle Bus to Little Miss Sunshine Bus

On a cold, snowy, winter day in 2010 we were the fortunate bystanders to a film being shot right outside our corporate office’s doors. The movie “Thin Ice” (first called “The Convincer”), written by Wisconsin natives Jill and Karen Sprecher, was being filmed partially in Minnesota. It has been describe as a “Fargo-Style caper-gone-awry”1. We were approached just two weeks earlier by the film crew asking if they could shoot a scene from our office reception area, oh, and Greg Kinnear will be there! Needless to say, we said “YES”!

We had no idea that we would be silent participants in the filming; having to turn off our lights, silence our phones and other office equipment. It was a fun way to spend the morning, even with the hassle and non-productive workplace. Our office building in Golden Valley was “refaced” with LINCOLN INSURANCE signs. The parking lot was filled with trailers upon trailers. They even used our coat closet to hang Mr. Kinnear’s wardrobe! It was so interesting to learn how much time and resources are put into filming a one minute (maybe less) scene.

Finally, Greg Kinnear took a break from filming IN OUR OFFICE. He checked his email, took time to chat with us, and signed one of our EZ Air Park stress relief squeeze buses.  It turns out it’s not just our offsite airport parking clients who love those little buses, Mr. Kinnear thought they were pretty great too.  He commented that it reminded him of the bus that the family traveled on in one of his most popular movies, “Little Miss Sunshine”.

You too could ride in one of our shuttles by parking with us at our Eagan, MN location.  Our offsite airport parking service makes MSP airport parking quick and easy.
